Science

The Science course provides training in Biology, Chemistry and Physics at Key Stage 3 (Ages 11-14), and at Key Stage 4 (GCSE), a specialism in one of the above areas.
At Key Stage 3, you will make use of the new Framework for Teaching Science in order to support teaching and learning of topics including life processes and living things, materials and their properties and physical processes.

Over time, you will gain experience with practical and ICT-based resources in order to support group work, independent and structured learning and ensure that all pupils are involved and learning.
You will support pupils learning of science skills including planning investigations, presenting information and interpreting and evaluating results.
Working alongside current science teachers you will learn hazard awareness and risk assessment in order to become an effective manager of the science laboratory.
